What is an adjustable pond pump?

With an adjustable pump, you can (as the name suggests) regulate the capacity of your pond pump. This can be done in two ways: adjusting the pump's power or blocking the inlet/outlet flow to reduce capacity. In the case of adjusting the power, you also save on energy costs when you adjust it downwards.

An adjustable pond pump is useful when you want to precisely determine the flow to a waterfall, stream, filter, or fountain.

What types of adjustable pond pumps are available?

At BluGarda, we have two types of pond pumps that are adjustable:

  1. Power adjustable with controller
  2. Capacity adjustable by blocking the inlet/outlet flow

In the case of a controller, you have exact control over the power of the pond pump. You can adjust the controller's capacity up and down. This saves you directly on energy as soon as you adjust it downwards.

By blocking the inlet/outlet flow, you ensure that less water flows through or out of the pump. With a simple rotary knob, you can determine the exact capacity.

Can a pump's power be reduced in winter?

In vielen Fällen können Sie Ihre Pumpe im Winter herunterregeln. So können Sie im Winter die Kapazität des Filters und Ihres UV-C-Geräts verringern. Außerdem können Sie bei Eisbildung sogar Ihren Brunnen und Ihre Pumpe komplett ausschalten. Mit einer regelbaren Teichpumpe ist es einfach, die Leistung zu reduzieren.

Kan ik een regelbare vijverpomp in de herfst en winter lager zetten?

Vaak kun je je regelbare vijverpomp in de herfst of winter op een lagere stand zetten. Dit kan in veel gevallen energie besparen.

In de winter is je vijver minder actief, er is dan ook minder filtering en stroming nodig om je vijver gezond te houden. Je kunt dan je vijverpomp op een lagere stand zetten. Ze de vijver in de herfst bijvoorbeeld op 65% van het normale vermogen en in de winter op 30%.

Tips:

  • Gebruik een BluFlow Control 8.000 of BluFlow Control 15.000 met externe controller om makkelijk energie te besparen.
  • Controleer altijd de specificaties van aangesloten producten. Mogelijk vereisen deze een minimale flow.
  • Verwijder bij strenge vorst apparatuur uit je vijver, dit voorkomt schade aan producten
